Charter Trains

How do I charter a train?

If you have a large group you might not have realised that you may charter your very own train.  The train is the ideal way to move large groups of people over long distances. It's convivial, private and perhaps a change from using the car or the coach! Someone else does the driving and it's clean and green too!

It could be a business or corporate trip where you might want to entertain or negotiate with a customer in surroundings where the 'outside world' can't disturb you! Or you need to move a lot of people to an event, a gathering or just a works outing.

It could be for a leisure daytrip to any location you like. It could be a specific destination or simply just a 'landcruise' taking in the scenery.

A specialist rail company, 'Rail Blue' provides all the services required to put together a charter programme, including trains, catering and guest management.  You dedide where you want to go and what you need, and Rail Blue puts it together for you.  You may visit the company's website at Rail Blue Charters, with lots of useful information for the first time charter user.

Why use rail charter?

The train is ideal for these sorts of operations.  Some examples of the types of events you might wish to charter a train for are:

Corporate:

  • Corporate hospitality transport: integrate transport and dining in your corporate hospitality event to offer a complete experience to your customer.

  • A private space for business meetings or networking: a secluded environment to have meetings in large or small groups across the train.  While the charter train is a means of transport to your destination, it's also an opportunity to meet and greet people on the move. The seats are positioned in bays of 2 or 4 which is the ideal set up for this purpose.

  • Group travel for all your staff based across the UK to a central location for any event or purpose.

  • Eurostar connections: perfect opportunity to travel on a charter train to a Eurostar terminal for an event outside the UK which is accessible by Eurostar.

  • Travel to sports events for management and/or sponsors: VIP treatment in first class combined with a nice lunch and/or dinner would definitely be a classy start to any sport event.

  • Green transport: environmentally friendly transport will easily help your 'green' credentials.

  • Branding on the move to promote the launch of your new product: give your brand the presence it deserves. Internal and external branding can be provided.

  • Day out to a tourist attraction or city for your staff and their families: treat your staff and their families to something different and visit anywhere in the UK.

  • Film location - we get asked for vehicles to shoot music videos, corporate documentaries and adverts.

  • Christmas party venue - if you just want to celebrate the festive season with something different.

Leisure:

  • 1st class dining while on your way to your end destination.

  • Escorted tours by rail to anywhere in the UK which could be a weekend or any length of time.

  • Travel to sports events: supporters clubs like to attend the matches of their favourite football club when they play away from home. Why not charter a train as a supporters club or a local organisation to get to the match? It's got to beat a fleet of coaches or driving there in the car and then battling to find a parking space!

  • Day trips to any tourist destination or event in the UK.

  • Innovative way to raise money for your charity with a lot of fundraising opportunities through activities on the train.
